Description of Services:
  • Provides a specialized court focused on a holistic way of dealing with Indigenous people in the court system and a focus on healing
  • Utilizes a restorative justice circle approach with a Judge, Elders and the offender (and their supports), lawyers and in some cases the victim and their supports where the offender shares their story
  • Ruling is made by the Judge, recommendations are given by the Elders and follow-up support provided by court workers
