Comprehensive assessment by a nurse practitioner or geriatrician, and a physiotherapist, with recommendations for treatment * agree to participate in a two-hour education and exercise session, twice a week for six weeks * follow-up visit three months after completion of the program Strong and Steady Program - Education and exercise sessions * participants will improve strength and balance, learn how to make their home safer, find out their risk of having a fall, and learn many ways to protect themselves |

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: | Medically stable adults 65 years and older, who live in the community and want to stay strong, steady and independent * must be well enough to walk 25 meters (with a walking aid if needed) and learn new information * are able to get to and from the program | ||
