All services at this site can be tailored to meet the needs of all client groups

Most services are available in group or one-to-one settings * special supports designed for persons with disabilities, entrepreneurs, those without recent work experience and mature workers * services for Ontario Works and ODSP participants and job seekers with disabilities

Better Jobs Ontario - Skills training and financial support for unemployed workers
  • training program must demonstrate good job prospects
  • financial support based on need, may include tuition, instructional costs, books, transportation and/or a basic living allowance

Services for employers -- help in identifying human resource skills requirements
  • matching of workplace needs to workers' skills, capabilities, interests and experience
  • support for developing on-the-job training plans and monitoring of placements to support retention

Canada-Ontario Job Grant -The ministry is transitioning to a re-designed Canada Ontario Job Grant model with a new delivery approach that enhances efficiency, monitoring, and employer support. Applications that were in progress when approvals were paused cannot be assessed under the current program. Employers will have an opportunity to reapply under the re-designed program guidelines.

Supports to Entrepreneurs - Opportunities for those interested in self-employment to access supports that may include direct supports, referrals and micro-finance (depending on eligibility)

Career and Employment Resource Centre - Provides job search resources for the general public:

Disability Services - Customized services to guide and support individuals with disabilities through the process of preparing for, finding, and keeping a job
Exigences
Frais: Most programs are free those who are eligible
Admissibilité / population desservie: Individuals of legal working age and not attending full time school or training; must be resident of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada

Better jobs Ontario Individuals who have been unemployed for six months or longer and are part of a low-income household

Self-service information and resources - Anyone, including people with jobs, those who are under-employed, people looking for work, students, apprentices, internationally trained individuals, employers

Assisted services (such as supported job search, job matching and placement, job retention services) - People who are unemployed and out of school

Youth Job Connection - Ontario residents 15-29 years who are eligible to work in Canada, unemployed, not attending school full time and experiencing multiple barriers to employment

Youth Job Connection Summer - Ontario residents 15-18 years who intend to continue high school or go on to postsecondary education after the job placement * focus on those facing challenging life circumstances and at risk of experiencing poor transitions between education and work
